Tend to start with 0.25U/lb more or less.

Published doses range thusly:

Dog: 0.5 to 1U/kg SC Q12

Cat: 0.25 to .5U/kg SC Q12′

I’ve had great luck and always gone up on the dose starting with 0.25U/lb SC Q12 after eating.
